- Can I lose weight by exercise alone? It's very hard. As a personal trainer, I exercise 5 to 6 hours daily and I can't maintain my weight without watching what I eat. Most people eat more when they exercise heavily so unless you really change how much you eat and what you eat, losing weight with exercising alone is difficult.
- Why use a personal trainer? There are many reasons to hire a personal trainer. Some of my clients have specific short term goals for a specific occasion and need an extra push. Others have plateaued and need some exercise and nutrition coaching. I find that even my most committed clients don't have time to exercise daily. That's why many turn to personal training. Personal training is very useful for clients that need that extra push or those super busy professional who need to be forced to take time for themselves. Reading some of my reviews can let you know who has benefited and why some women chose to engage my services.
- Does exercising with a personal trainer make a difference in what I can accomplish? I find that when I exercise with my clients I can push them more and we can achieve more together. Some clients start with 3 to 4 sessions per week and rather quickly over a month become more physically fit and can reduce sessions to 1 to 2 sessions per week to maintain their fitness.
- Can I reduce back pain with exercise? I find that a training program can be useful to help some women reduce back pain that is largely muscle related. Whether exercise is helpful or not depends on the reason for back pain. If pain is caused by bad posture, repetitive motion, muscle spasm, or just general deconditioning, a training program that includes Pilates and stretch can be very helpful. Many of my clients have felt immensely better after exercise.
